SiRFstarIII™ 20-channel GPS SMD compact module/receiver is SBAS enabled (WAAS/EGNOS) and has enhanced power saving modes.
The ISM300F2-C5.1-V0002 module uses a single UART firmware build which defaults to:
- NMEA at 4800 baud on port A
- SBAS turned on by default
- Full NMEA-0183
This build provides a full NMEA message data stream at the normal 4800 baud. Single UART firmware builds allow the user to switch from the default protocol (NMEA in this case) to the alternate protocol (SiRF Binary) by issuing a $PSRF100 command.
Extremely compact (18mm X 18mm x 3mm), the ISM300F2 is 30% lower power than the ISM300F1.
